Working through Self-Esteem Issues

by Heather Goldsmith on August 16th, 2007

Once upon a time self-esteem, or lack of, was a big issue for me. It wasn’t until I read about this book: The Self-Esteem Guided Journal: A Ten Week Program that I realised how much journal writing has helped me deal with low self-esteem.

There are most likely other reasons for my improved self-esteem, which, to be fair have to be given some credit. But, I know the time I spent delving into these issues were rewarded over the long haul. How I’d loved to have known about this book and accompanying The Self-esteem Companion: Simple Exercises to Help You Challenge Your Inner Critic & Celebrate Your Personal Strengths then. A ten week course would’ve made the process more pointed & swifter. I imagine it would be quite intense, too. I suppose you’d need to steel yourself for the time spent writing these exercises in your journal.

If you’ve read this book or used the exercises in your journal, please share your thoughts on how effective you believe the book was for dealing with self-esteem. Use the comments section below to post any comments.
