What’s Fabulous Five Doors Down?

Tracee’s Silly Blog Portrait

As part of a bit of fun we’re having this month I’m going to introduce you to some of my neighbours. This week I’d love you to meet Tracee Sioux who writes Blog Fabulous for b5media.com. Don’t miss her empowering girls blog, either at So Sioux Me.

Empowering and empowerment for women are important issues for Tracee. The theme comes up often while reading Blog Fabulous. If I’m honest this is a little scary for me. What I mean is that her writing style can be confronting, political, her topics massive in scope and at times very American. Being Australian some issues just don’t mean the same thing to me over here.

Any fear aside, I still enjoy reading strong views expressed clearly and with such passion, on such an eclectic range of topics. But, if you just can’t think of something to write about in your journal, then you will have to visit Tracee’s blog/s. There’s bound to be something to get you going.

Be sure to read more about Tracee & Blog Fabulous. I’m sure there will be something to spark your interest.

    Oh Heather. I’m harmless, really.

I would have to say that I have found the Australian feminist movement to be remarkably parallel to the American one. Our issues are almost like a mirror reflecting back and forth. Aren’t you too trying to get a good family leave policy? Equity in the workplace? Elect female officials to represent you? Balance work and home? Stop violence against women?

Have you read Blue Milk? http://bluemilk.wordpress.com/

And then there is Hoyden About Town who started Down Under Feminist Blog Carnival. You don’t want to miss it - http://viv.id.au/blog/?p=1744

    Hi Tracee,
Lol, I wasn’t trying to begin a feminist debate! ;-)

It’s really the American politics not the feminist stuff I couldn’t relate to on your blog. Really, I’m very uninterested in that stuff, shock, horror. But you cover it so well. If there’s ever anything I want to know on that score, I will be sure to come to you first. ;-)

I enjoyed checking out your blog, though. ;-)
