Using Cryptography in Your Journal

by Heather Goldsmith on September 13th, 2007

My daughter mentioned she’d come across the website for the TV show Numb3rs, then found this very cool website called We All Use Math Every Day. My daughter is a number freak. I was curious enough to go and have a look, though. There were some interesting maths activities, but I remembered that Cryptography is a great tool for journal writing, too.

If you have privacy issues you may prefer to write in code in your journal. Check out some of the websites that come up in a Google.com search of the word cryptography. Beatrix Potter kept a journal written in code that wasn’t cracked until fairly recently. It might be worth considering creating some kind of personal code for your own use, too.
