The Creative Writing Process, as the title implies, takes you step by step through the process of creative writing. While Allan Kirby aims his lessons towards children, any writer could gain fresh insight after reading these simple instructions. Beginning with the brainstorm and ending with the final copy, there are even worksheets to help you write sentences with style, how to organise your paragraphs and others. There’s plenty to read, but I feel this website breaks down the process into manageable parts. I hope this gives you plenty to write about in your writer’s journal.

I stumbled upon this blog while I was doing some online research, and I was certainly intrigued by how focused and helpful it is to aspiring writers. I’m glad that we’re not forgetting about encouraging creativity in our children. They are so naturally imaginative but may lose that gift if it’s not nurtured.
