The Big Stuff
After dropping my hubby off at the hospital this morning I heard a John Butler Trio tune on the radio. The lyrics went something like… “go take step outside see what’s shaking in the real world.” That line stayed with me as I drove off the freeway and stopped for a coffee and a journal session. My daughter had my toddler at home, so I could take a moment for myself to journal about the big stuff going on in my life.
Once I’d gotten all my worries and woes about my hubby’s surgery and the ripple effect issues down on paper, I was able to look at what was happening in the real world. My problems did pale in comparison to the floods in England and other world news. But I was glad to have my journal to work that through and be able to see what really does matter in life.

Thanks Shai. It looks like everything went as the doctor hoped. So, that’s a good thing. There’s just recovery to get through now. ;-)
