Today while wasting time, because I had to wait for something, I spent time in a book store. Out the front they had a book by Jason Donovan, the former Neighbours star & singer. Not that I’ve ever been a fan, don’t watch soapies, but I was interested enough to search the book online tonight. […]

I read the news tonight here that Tori Spelling plans to write her memoirs. Apparently, though, she hasn’t been keeping a diary or journal on which to draw from. It’s a good thing she’s got a ghost writer to help, then.

I first mentioned the legal battle Prince Charles is in over a number of his personal journals here. The issue will be dealt with in the Court of Appeal. I read that news here today. So, it looks like the ordeal is far from over. Eight of his diaries were handed over to Mail on […]

I warned you about it in this entry and the day has finally arrived. Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love was released this week. While most likely interesting to her fans and perhaps fans of Kurt Cobain, that element of getting behind that facade of celebrity will draw interest from non-fans, too. If you’ve […]

The English novelist John Fowles, who wrote The French Lieutenant’s Woman and The Collector (Back Bay Books) among others, had another volume of his journals published this month.

He’s also […]

The Unabomber’s journal is going up for auction online. But apparently you won’t be seeing it on eBay. Theodore Kaczynski, currently serving four consecutive life sentences for his crimes, penned some 22 000 pages in his journal. The version going up for auction will apparently have all the nasty bits taken out. I’m still […]

Debbie Macomber is a well known romance writer, but you may be surprised to learn she also kept a diary as a teen. In this story she also reveals tips for novelists. With more than 60 million books sold the world over, I think Macomber may have something to add on the topic. I hope […]

I’ve finally finished reading this book; The Journal of Fletcher Christian. It feels like ages since I began reading this adventure of mutiny on the high seas. That’s probably the longest I’ve taken me to read a book, ever.
Now, don’t get the idea the book is boring, because it’s well-written and the pace is […]

The Ziggy comic for today, 5th July, 2006, easily relates to keeping a journal. I love Ziggy. His life makes me smile. I think he sums up one reason to keep a journal very well in today’s comic. Follow the link to see the comic I’m referring to: Ziggy - July 5 2006
