This week the 784 page The Reagan Diaries was released. That’s a whole lot of reading. Apparently Reagan was considered the most detailed president when it came to writing in his journal. Let me know if you read this. Please share in the comments section below.

Yet another celebrity will take up the journal pen to write their memoirs. According to this news story Paris Hilton plans to write about her prison experience while serving time. Personally, I can’t see that it would be very interesting, but she does have celebrity on her side. I’m sure someone will buy it. I […]

Apparently Ronald Reagan was not a journal keeper, but did keep a meticulous diary during his term as president of USA. Read excerpts from his diary here. There are also sample pages of his handwriting in a slideshow format. Makes interesting reading.

For people who love to keep themselves organised a journal is a must. While I wouldn’t call myself the most organised person around, I do use my journal to get certain things in order; such as for planning what to pack when going away on a trip. I write a list in my journal, which […]

I couldn’t help wondering if he was killed for what that diary contained. Which lead me to think about what […]

The Freedom Writers have made interesting fodder for this blog here and here, but apparently their book has been ‘banned” from one school for its controversial adult content.
Take time to read the article, but also the comments beneath. What are your thoughts on allowing students of upper grades to read controversial books in the […]

While out shopping with my daughter today we came across the book The Monster Diaries with stunning illustrations by Poly Bernatene. Even though the pictures are somewhat gruesome and the topic bizarre, the illustrations are intriguing in their details and use of line and colour. The diary entries are also quite humorous. A very different […]
