Noting the Changes
Life is about change. We long for the moments when our days will be normal, easy, relaxed, but the truth is they hardly ever are. We deal with change on a day to day basis, even though we don’t enjoy it. This is one reason you should write these changes down in your journal. Each little change makes up a big change in the long run. The big changes today tend to be forgotten in a couple of weeks. So make an effort to note every change you experience.
I face such changes right here in this journal writing blog. Some of you may be aware of the merger between AboutWeblogs.com network, of which this blog is part, and b5.media.com. Soon this very space will change; the name, the colours, or perhaps the layout. Right now I’m not even sure. I do know the changes will be for the better. More people reading this blog means more input, especially if they’re willing to leave comments. I’m looking forward to noting the moment those changes come into affect right here in this blog.
Keeping a journal means you can turn back the pages and find those moments of change. When did the neighbours move in? What day did the accident happen? When did we merge with b5.media? It’s easy to forget exactly when these events occur, but your journal will not forget and you can use those records to enrich many aspects of your daily life.
I hope you note even the slightest change you’ve encountered in your journal today.

HI Heather! Great entry, I especially like this part: "Keeping a journal means you can turn back the pages and find those moments of change."
That’s what makes this genre so amazing. Welcome to the b5 team; you’ll love it there! :)

[…] You may have noticed I’ve gone quiet over the last few days. Well, finally the day arrived for this blog to change homes. Any time I move house there’s always that period of finding how things fit, where they go and getting a feel of the place. That’s how I’ve been keeping myself busy over those few days. Just like knowing where the cups go and how many sleepy steps it takes to reach the toilet in the middle of the night I’ve been stumbling around a little getting to know my new home. […]

[…] Change is inevitable, but it doesn’t mean we’re going to like it. One good reason to keep a journal is to note those changes. I’ve mentioned this in an earlier entry, but felt I had something more to add after an incident today. […]
