More on Sharing Journal Entries
I read this article about singer/songwriter Cary Brothers today. In the article he makes this statement:
“I feel like I’ve been writing a personal journal since I was 16 years old, and now I’m showing that journal to the whole world. ”
If Brothers keeps a journal or not, his reference inspired me to ask the question; would you be so willing to show the whole world your journal?
My daughter quite often shares entries with me, but I’m hardly the whole world. I keep an online diary/journal/blog with personal information. Is this equivalent to showing the world? I know the world can read it if they want to, but is it the same? How do you feel about mining your journal for material for poetry, stories, songs, etc, that will be published?
