Journal Anywhere

As usual I’ve had to grab a chance to write in my journal while my little boy played. Thanks to the glorious sunshine I was able to use a local park today. He was happy because there were two other little people to share the slides and swings with. I was glad to be able to make a visual journal entry as well as write. I’m trying to use up my lined journal so I can carry only one book with me. My shoulder can’t cope with much more.
Since starting the visual journal course I shared with you about last week, I’ve been using two separate journals. Once the lined one is filled I’ll just stick to one book. I’ve got my temporary pencil case filled with supplies, and I’m ready to journal anywhere. So, where do you journal? Do you journal on the run, like me, or set up a place at home to write or create?
If you like share a photo of the place or places you journal. Leave a link or comment in the section below.

I take my journal everywhere, though I don’t always get to work in it when I’m out. But I’ve journaled at fast-food restaurants while the kids play in the play area, at the YMCA while the girls are in dance class, at my parents’ and in-laws’ houses at family gatherings, the park … whenever I get a few minutes to open up my journal. Sometimes I only get to thumb through it before my attention is called away, or I do a little doodling or sketching, but sometimes I get to finish a whole page.
At home, I usually work in my studio … currently the 2 tables in there are crammed full of stuff, so that I am working in a space just barely big enough to open my journal … I need to take some time to put stuff away LOL! It’s so bad that I’m just working out of the bag I use when I’m out … so many supplies that are just wasting away because I have no room to spread out and use them! Hmmm … I think I just gave myself a goal for today …

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks so much for your response. It’s great to meet someone who does what I do. I do prefer to work on things without any interuptions, but I’ve learnt to grab whatever time comes my way. I think you have to with kids. I’m glad I helped you create a goal for today. Thanks for leaving a comment. ;-)
