Getting Organised for Christmas

by Heather Goldsmith on October 22nd, 2007

I know, I know, it’s almost a dirty word if you’re not an organised person. But Christmas is just over 60 days away. If this information doesn’t strike terror into your heart, you can probably forget about reading this entry. For the rest of us my suggestion is to dedicate a couple of pages of your journal now, & over the next few days, towards writing your lists of things to do, gifts you need to buy, and any holiday or travel arrangements you haven’t finalised. You’ll find the lists handy there in your journal. You can refer to them whenever you’re sitting down to make an entry and keep updated with what else needs doing.

I find I’m better at organising & planning in the morning. So, I’m dedicating a few morning sessions to getting things in order. Yes, I am terribly disorganised about Christmas this year. If you have any cool hints or tips to share on this topic, please use the comments section below. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’d love a little help with this.

    Heather,
At the Family Fun Website, there is this very cool Christmas Planner you can make out of simple office supplies. I made one for myself and my sister about 3 years ago, and use it every year. It is really great - About this time I pull it out and begin planning gifts to buy, recipes to make, decorations to purchase… It is great to look back at the past years and see what we did, what we ate, gifts we got and gave… I would highly recommend it to you and anyone else looking to get organized at Christmas. *I have no affiliation with family fun.

    Hi Geri,
Thanks so much for sharing that one. I might call it up with it’s own blog entry so everyone notices it. Sounds like you’ve given it a good try, so can fully recommend it, too. Thanks again. ;-)
