Freaky Friday #97

by Heather Goldsmith on February 8th, 2008

Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.

For the last few days I haven’t been able to access my blog due to outages in b5media, so that’s why I’ve been so quiet just lately. But it looks like things are back to normal; at least we’re all hoping so. Without having access I did think about what it might be like if suddenly there was no longer any internet. I got a few good journal entries out of that one and possibly an idea for a short story.

So, the challenge today is to imagine that suddenly there is no longer an internet. Wild, I know, but just stop and think of all the things you could no longer do if for some reason the internet did not exist. Modern life would take a very different turn. Spend some time writing in your journal about how this would change your job, your daily life and communication for you with loved ones. Or would nothing much change at all for you?

The idea of these journal writing challenges is to view your life from a different perspective. I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please feel free to share any links if you write about this on your blog.

gosh, what a scary thought! I don’t think I even want to think about that! :-) maybe I’ll try though. I would so miss my online friends - and I would have NO idea how to find them all over the world. :-(

    Hi hanna,
Yes, I think that would be the worse thing. That loss of people, like you, who I’ve connected with over the years. I only know very few of them in person. Thanks for commenting. ;-)
