Freaky Friday #91
Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.
Being so close to the end of the year I couldn’t help thinking perhaps a change of time journal writing challenge might be a good one. Imagine going to sleep on New Year’s Eve, or after counting down into 2008, and waking to find you are actually in 1908. To prepare for this spend time researching the year 1908. I found 1908 in History, which you may also find useful. Or perhaps research someone famous who was alive at the time. Write an entry about living 100 years ago, but write from your modern perspective. What don’t you miss? What can’t you live without? Invent a character to walk you through the streets of your own city or town. This may lead to a good short story or even novel.
Have fun with this journal writing challenge. If you know some good research websites for this challenge please share them in the comments section below.

Hi Dextress,
Well, at least I made you laugh. I think that’s a good thing, too. Thanks for leaving a comment. ;-)

Actually, I was thinking this very thing earlier today!
I was contemplating how different this day would be , 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 ,80, 90 and 100 years ago…..
Thinking about my mother’s life and my grandmother’s life makes me feel fairly awestruck!

Hi Noreen,
Yes, it must’ve been so much more different than we can probably ever imagine. I hope this inspired you to write something along these lines. ;-)
