Freaky Friday #64
Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.
While driving in traffic this afternoon I switched to a different radio station than I usually tune into. The host began interviewing a man who’d grown up in the circus. I was immediately intrigued. Who didn’t dream of running away to join the circus as a kid? They also spoke of a current exhibition in Melbourne, Australia, called The Circus Diaries. I’ve also found their blog.
This got me thinking about today’s blog entry. What if you did run away to join the circus? Write in your journal about your life as if you do live with a travelling circus. Take this from when you were a child or from right this moment. Write about how your life is, or how you expect it to be if you’ve only just run away. Make sure to list the positives and the negatives of circus life. Maybe you’ll find some good things in your ordinary every day life after this exercise. Or you might see some places where you could make a few changes.
