Freaky Friday #53

by Heather Goldsmith on April 6th, 2007

It’s already Friday. That means it’s Freaky Friday for all my regular readers. If you need to know more about this journal writing prompt please read the First Freaky Friday entry.

In an annual Easter event in San Fernando, Pampanga 19 devotees will re-enact the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Read the story here. You’ll need to scan down to the last story on that page.

Today spend some time writing in your journal as if you are in the crowd of either this re-enactment or the crucifixion of Jesus himself. Try to focus on what it means to you. What are the crowd doing? How do you feel knowing an innocent man is being punished? What would motivate you to submit to such brutality willingly?

The journal writing challenge for today is not for the faint hearted. Feel free to simply write your thoughts on what Easter means to you. Enjoy the journal writing prompt for today.
