Freaky Friday #121

Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.
The little guy and I were in a local takeaway food place, for coffee and a covered place to play. There was a party going on. Loads of kids and they’d provided their own finger food. There were platters of fruit and little cakes, like the one in the photo. My boy was invited to take part. The photo shows his reaction to the little cake, but he put a small dent in the fruit platter offerings, too.
All this partying got me thinking about parties I’ve had, or at least never had. Did I even have a party as a kid? I don’t recall it, but that could just be dodgy kid’s memory for you. The only parties I remember were someone else’s.
Did you never have a party? Did you have a disastrous party? Spend some time writing in your journal about the party you always wanted or revisit the one you hated the most. Who is there? Where is it held? What kind of food is there? What gifts do you receive? Most importantly, describe how you feel. If you revisit a bad party memory, write a better outcome, one that makes you feel better about yourself.
The purpose of these journal writing challenges is to see yourself from a different perspective. I hope you enjoy writing about your dream party. Please feel free to share any comments in the section below.
