All the controversy over the running of the flame for this year’s Olympic games, and the flame protectors, has got me thinking. What would you consider to be the flame in your life? Is this flame what you are compassionate about? Is it your faith, belief or your rights? Using the idea of these men, in the article I’ve linked to, the keepers of the flame, write in your journal as if you were the protector of the flame in your own life. First identify what the flame is for you, then write as if you were one of these protectors, sworn to guard this flame whatever it takes.
