According to this news story Anna Nicole Smith’s diaries were sold to the highest bidder on ebay last Thursday. Apparently a German businessman was the highest bidder of both diaries on offer. The news story reveals his plans for the diaries.
I can’t help wondering what interest anyone, but a fan, would have in these […]

It might not surprise you to learn that according to this new story Anna Nicole Smith’s diary has turned up on ebay. The diary is purported to be filled with sex secrects and includes her thoughts during the slow death of her husband J. Howard Marshall in 1994.
There is also another diary from an […]

I read this news story with interest today. I felt a little guilty when I noticed Notebookism also posted this, but I felt the more people who know about this diary the better.
Here’s a direct link: Emma Darwin’s Diaries 1824-1896. Her writings certainly aren’t elaborate, but I’m sure you will find them interesting, too.

I couldn’t resist passing on this news story about yet another famous person keeping a journal. Apparently it’s all part of her current therapy, but she’s used journal writing before as a tool for writing lyrics for her songs.
Although I’m no fan I sure hope the journal writing therapy brings her more than just […]

Today I was saddened, along with many other Australians, by the news of rocker and entertainer Billy Thorpe’s death. Even though I was too young to be part of the music culture in his hey day, I was still touched by his musical talent.

Although a local author, she lived in Perth, Western Australia; I never met the woman in person but was always inspired by her life […]

While at the shops this morning, picking up a couple of last minutes things for my little boy’s second birthday, I came across this delightful book: Beatrix Potter: A Journal.
Although aimed at children, anyone who loves letters and journals will appreciate this gorgeous book. There are lots of little flaps to lift and envelopes and […]

I’ve already mentioned the amazing Miss Beatrix Potter, author of the Peter Rabbit books for children, and her coded journal in this blog. Well, now she’s the subject of a film starring RenĂ©e Zellweger. Miss Potter opened in the US recently. Let’s hope her life will continue to offer inspiration to new and old journal […]

In an update of this story I came across news that Prince Charles has finally won the legal battle over the privacy of a number of his personal journals. I’d say it was pretty obvious that he deserves his privacy respected, but certain members of the press see things differently. How do you feel about […]

Entertainer and musician Moby also keeps a blog. After a pretty thorough read of a few pages I couldn’t establish whether Moby is a paper journal writer or not. It wouldn’t surprise me, though. His blog makes quite entertaining reading. You may have something to write in your journal about after reading some of his […]
